Dhaba Style Daal Channa | Pakistani Special Recipe

The food Pakistani dhabas serves is the best form of food, not only because it’s fresh but also prepared with sincerity and love.

Here is my version of “Dhaba Style Daal Channa”, hope you guys will love it.

Split chick-pea lentils     1 cup (soaked)

Oil                                     ¼ cup

Onions                             1 medium (chopped)

Tomatoes                        2 medium (chopped)

Ginger garlic paste         1 teaspoon

Cumin                               1 teaspoon

Red chili powder             1 teaspoon

Turmeric powder           ½ teaspoon

Curry powder                  1 ½ teaspoon

Cinnamon stick               1’’

Boil split chick-pea lentils with cinnamon stick until soft and tender.

In another pan sauté onions and cumin until golden brown,

Add tomatoes, ginger garlic paste, Red chili powder, turmeric powder, curry powder  and till water,

Cook till it turns into gravy,

When gravy starts to fry add lentil and cook till it become thick,

Now add garam masala and dry mint

You can also add butter for extra flavor

Garnish it with fresh green chilies and serve with naan.
