How to bake on stove top?
Hi everyone, hope you all are doing well.
so, we are discussing a very common problem faced by many people who don’t have oven and wants to enjoy baking.
Here is the simple technique that you can use, easy, simple and quick.
Utensils you need are:
- Big pot with lid
- Small cooling rack (that fit in the pan)
- Baking pan (that fit in the pan)
The first step will be pre- heating:
Pre-heating is the first most important step in baking. Pre-heating is done to achieve the required temperature for food to start cooking immediately. Pre-heating may take 15 to 20 minutes or until you see the required temperature on the thermometer (if you are using a thermometer).
If you are not using any thermometer, just take the lid off and feel a hot air touches your face or hand.
When you pre-heat the pot, make sure you put the small cooking rack inside and then the lid. Pre-heat the pot on medium flame of your stove burner.
When pre-heating is done move to step two:
While the pot is getting ready, prepare the dish you want to bake likewise, you can bake cakes, cupcakes, pizzas, chicken breads, biscuits etc.
When pre-heating is done, place the prepared mould into the pot and put the lid on. The flame should me medium-low and bake it till it’s done (or the time recipe asks to bake).
Approximately normal sized pans take:
- Cupcakes 15 to 17 minutes
- Cake 30 to 45 minutes
- Breads 25 to 40 minutes
- Pizza 15 to 20 minutes
Remove the lid and carefully remove the dish out.
Few baking tips:
- First check should be done after 15 minutes.
- If you don’t have small cooking rack you can place small pebbles, sand or any old sieve.
- I don’t recommend water bath as it has high chances of blunder (use it only for puddings, mousse or soufflés)
Remember you can do it!
