Almond Tea-cake | Super moist and delicious | Areeba’s kitchen

Melted butter                                   1 cup

Caster sugar                                      1 ½ cup

Eggs                                                      2 large

Yogurt                                                 1 cup

Almond/ vanilla extract                 ½ teaspoon

All purpose flour                               2 cups

Baking powder                                  1 ½ teaspoon

Baking soda                                        ½ teaspoon

Roasted almonds                            ½ cup

Salt                                                     ½ teaspoon

For topping

Unroasted almonds                       ½ cup (sliced)

Sugar                                                   2 tablespoon

Icing sugar                                        as needed for dusting after baking (optional)

Beat butter and sugar until creamy,

Add eggs, yogurt and almond extract beat till smooth.

Coarsely grind roasted almonds and mix with flour,

Now add baking soda, baking powder and salt, mix well.

Now mix both the batters together,

Pour the batter into any preferable greased mold,

Sprinkle some sugar and sliced almonds.

Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350 F in preheated oven

Check when inserted toothpick come out clean,

Let it cool down for 20 minutes then sprinkle some icing sugar on top

Serve with hot coffee and enjoy!!!
