Prawn Pulao with raita | Simple, easy & delicious | Areeba’s kitchen

Prawns                300 grams

Rice                      2 cups

Onion                    1 large (finely chopped)

Garlic                    3 cloves (finely chopped)

Green chilies      2 medium (cut into 3)

Red chili flakes   ½ teaspoon

Funnel seeds      ½ teaspoon

Bay leaves           3 small

Cinnamon            1 inch piece

Black pepper corn        4 to 5

Salt                       2 teaspoon or to taste

Oil                         ¼ cup

Wash rice and soak for atleast 30 minutes

In a pan add oil, onions, bay leaves, black pepper corn, cinnamon and funnel seeds

Saute till onion gets golden,

Add prawns, green chilies, garlic and red chili flakes,

Saute for few minutes,

Add soaked rice and add water,

When water gets dry, steam for few minutes or till no water remains,

Serve hot with raita

Raita

Yogurt                  4 tablespoon

Onion                   2 tablespoon (finely chopped)

Tomato                2 tablespoon (finely chopped)

Cucumber            2 tablespoon (finely chopped)

Cumin                   ½ teaspoon or to taste

Salt                       ½ teaspoon or to taste

Beat yogurt until smooth,

Add salt and cumin mix well

Add onion, tomatoes, and cucumber

Give it a quick stir and serve
