Hyderabadi Khatti Daal | Pakistani Special Recipe

Hyderabadi dishes are famous all over the world because every dish has a special combination of flavors that will burst in your mouth.

For this Khatti daal recipe I have taken:

Masoor daal      ½ cup

Mong daal          ½ cup

Red chili powder          1 teaspoon

Turmeric                        ½ teaspoon

Salt                                  1 teaspoon

Cumin                              ½ teaspoon

Ginger Garlic Paste       1 teaspoon

Curry leaves                    7 to 8 leaves

Tamarind                        1 tablespoon

(soaked in ½ cup of water)

For Baghar:

Ghee       4 tablespoon

Garlic      3 cloves

Cumin     ½ teaspoon

Button red chilies   4 to 5

Boil daal with red chili powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste, cumin and curry leaves until tender.

Now blend the daal and put tamarind paste,

Cook for 15 minutes or until tamarind gives nice, cooked aroma,

Now in a frying pan add ghee and all the baghar ingredients,

Put the baghar in daal and stir,

Serve hot with white rice.
