Fish 400 grams
Yogurt ½ cup (beaten)
Onion 1 medium
Cumin (Zeera) ½ teaspoon
Turmeric (haldi) ½ teaspoon
Red chili powder ½ teaspoon
Carom seeds (ajwain) pinch or ¼ teaspoon
Ginger garlic paste 1 tablespoon
Lemon 1 small
Fenugreek leaves (methi) 3 tablespoon
Salt to taste or ¾ teaspoon
Oil 4 tablespoon
Saute onion and cumin in oil till golden brown,
Add yogurt, red chili powder, turmeric, salt, ginger garlic paste, carom seeds and little water,
Cook till gravy starts to thicken and oil appears on sides,
Add fish, fenugreek leaves and lemon,
Cook for 5 minutes on low flame with lid on, add water if needed,
Gently turn the side of the fish and cook for another 5 minutes,
When fish is tender cook on high flame to thicken the gravy,
Garnish it with green chilies and fresh coriander,
Serve with chappati or rice
