Basmati rice 1 ½ cup (soaked for ½ hour)
Onion 1 medium (slices)
Oil ¼ cup
Cumin/zeera 1 teaspoon
Salt 1 ½ teaspoon
Cinnamon 1 inch,2 sticks
butter for garnish (optional)
In a pan add oil, onion, cumin and cinnamon,
Sauté till onion is golden brown,
Add rice, salt and water,
When rice gets dry, cover the lid and cook on very low flame till no water left,
Serve it with any kind or gravy you want likewise, chicken palak, potato curry, butter chicken etc
