Chicken Sajji , Afghani Pulao aur Timater ki Chutney | Pakistani Special Recipe

FOR CHICKEN

Chicken                   1 kg

Lemon juice             4 tablespoon

Black pepper          1 teaspoon

Salt                             1 teaspoon

Marinate the chicken with above ingredients for minimum ½ hour.

Now place a chicken in a baking dish and cover with aluminum foil

Bake if for almost 45 minutes or until tender

Note: You can also add vinegar and can use whole chicken

FOR CHUTNEY

Tomatoes (ripped)    2  large

Cumin                         ½ teaspoon

Garlic                           1 clove

Green chili                  1 large or to taste

Mint                            6-7 leaves

Salt                              to taste or ½ teaspoon

Blend all the ingredients together till thick consistency occurs.

Tip: Try to add very little water

FOR CARROTS

Carrots (Julianne)     2 medium

Sugar      2 teaspoon or as needed

Boil carrots in little water with sugar until soft and tender

FOR RICE

Rice                          2 cups

Oil                             ¼ cup

Onion (slices)          1 medium

Cumin (crushed)     ½ teaspoon

Green cardamom (crushed)   3 pieces

Black cardamom (crushed)     3 pieces

Salt                                              to taste or 1 teaspoon

Raisins                                       as needed

Soak rice for ½ hour

Sauté onion in oil until it turns dark brown

Now add rice, water and other spices.

When water get dry add baked chicken, prepared carrots and raisins

Cover and cook for 5 minutes or till water get dry.

Serve hot and enjoy!!!!
