Shinwari Karahi | Pakistani cuisine

Ingredients:

Chicken                                 ½ kg or 500 grams

Tomatoes                              ¼ kg or 250 grams (Roughly chopped)

Onion                                       1 medium (Finely chopped)

Ginger garlic paste           1 tablespoon

Oil                                              ½ cup

Fresh Green Chilies         6-8 (Roughly chopped)

Button red chilies              10 -12

Black pepper corns           1 teaspoon

Coriander seeds                 1 teaspoon

Cumin (zeera)                       1 teaspoon

Salt                                               1 teaspoon or to taste

Method

Firstly make a masala,

Sauté button red chilies, cumin and coriander until aroma occurs.

Grind all the ingredients together with black pepper.

Masala is ready to use.

Sauté onion in oil until translucent.

Add chicken, ginger garlic paste and few chopped green chillies.

Cook for 10 minutes.

Now add tomatoes and cover for 10 mintues.

Now add 2 tablespoon of masala, salt and somegreen chillies.

Cook on a high flame till thick gravy occurs.

Garnish with fresh Julian ginger and fresh chopped coriander.

Karahi is ready to serve.
