Lahori fried fish is famous all over Pakistan. The soft juicy tenderness makes everyone wait for winters. As soon as winter arrives people rushes toward the fish selling restaurant. Here is the famous Lahori fried Fish recipe:
Fish pieces 500 grams or ½ kg
All purpose flour ½ cup
Coat the fish with flour and rest it for 15 minutes.
Garlic cloves 3-4 (finely chopped)
Cumin (white zeera) ½ tea spoon
All spice powder (Garam masala powder) ½ teaspoon
Ajwain ½ teaspoon
Coriander seeds ½ teaspoon
Res chili powder ½ teaspoon
Red chili flakes 1 teaspoon
Salt to taste 1 teaspoon
Lemon 3-4
Water ½ cup or as needed
Chick pea flour (basan) 1 cup
Make a thick paste of all the above mentioned ingredients.
Now put the fish pieces in to the batter and marinated it for 3 hours.
(minimum marinating time is 1 hour and maximum marinating time is 6 hours)
After marination deep fry the fish for 5 minutes each side or till golden brown.
Oil should be on medium-low flame.
Enjoy with chutneys and chat masala.
